Born in 1979, studied piano and musicology in Istanbul and Ney, the traditional flute of the Ottoman court music. Sezer gained his first compositional experiences with the Argentine composer Dr. Diego H. Feinstein, later he continued his compositional studies with Dieter Schnebel in Berlin and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Munich in the master class of Matthias Pintscher.
Sezer's music opens up with an individual and unique sound style; the constant search for his musical identity is based on numerous studies and experiences at home and abroad with techniques, materials and instruments from the Occident and Orient. Thus his music evades entrenched standards and opens up new, unexpected listening experiences for the listener.
His works have been performed to date by leading music festivals and contemporary music institutions: At the Berliner Festspiele (Maerz Musik), Ensemblia Mönchengladbach, Münchener Biennale-Klangspuren, Ensemble musikFabrik, Bayerischer Rundfunk musica viva, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Dornbirn Klassik and at the BOZAR Festival.
