Eloain Lovis Hübner studied composition and applied theater studies. This was followed by inter-/transdisciplinary productions in various teams at numerous theaters and festivals in Germany, Switzerland and Italy, including immersive sound/space concepts, an online installation, durationals, music theater for children, a theory opera in game show format and participatory formats. Collaborations with Ensemble Modern, Decoder, Klangforum Wien, Schallfeld, NAMES, Lemniscate, Arditti Quartet and as composer in residence with AuditivVokal have taken them around the globe. Since 2023, they have been developing their own improvisational practice on instruments that Eloain “cannot play”. Various teaching assignments for interdisciplinary practice, 2021-24 curation of the Musik 21 Festival Niedersachsen expand the portfolio. Their awards include the Stuttgart Composition Prize, the German Music Author Prize and residencies in Germany and abroad.

Eloain Lovis Hübner were awarded the residency fellowship at the Künstlerhaus Bamberg by Bavarian State Minister Markus Blume at the suggestion of Villa Concordia Music Fellowship Board members Marcus Rudolf Axt, Director of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Imke List, Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation and Prof. Rainer Kotzian, President of the Nuremberg University of Music. They will work in Bamberg from mid-April 2025 to mid-March 2026.
