MARKUS OSTERMAIR reads from his novel "Der Sandler" (published by Osburg Verlag in 2020) and talks to Dr. Stefan Schneider from the Wohnungslosen_stiftung (Homeless Foundation).
"Der Sandler" tells a story that shouldn't really be told at all. Because it is about the shame of social decline - and this shame makes those affected remain silent. "The Sandler" is therefore a fictional story that places homeless people at the centre and, despite all fiction, conveys a realistic and multi-layered picture of their everyday lives on the streets of Munich.
