A dialogue with texts by the poet MICHAEL KRÜGER and drawings by KARL SCHLEINKOFER (Villa Concordia fellow 2000/01).  "Im Pantheon der Spinnen" was published by Sieveking Verlag in 2021. Karl Schleinkofer's drawings are also available in a limited artist's edition.

"Michael Krüger's text "Im Pantheon der Spinnen" was written in seclusion during his month-long stay in a wooden house in the foothills of the Alps during the coronavirus pandemic. The text is divided into eleven condensed sequences about the world of animals and plants that surround the author on a daily basis, with the most trivial often becoming the most sublime. Self-reflection against the backdrop of the poet's fragile situation at the time plays a subliminal role, without ever forcing its way in: "Sometimes I sit here, an animal among animals, a grateful human dreaming of silence."
