As part of the exhibition “International Artists Encounter in Celebration of the 1000^th Anniversary of the Bamberg Diocese” in 2007, the International House of Artists Villa Concordia displayed an outdoor sculpture by Rui Chafes, which is now installed permanently in Bamberg. 

A catalogue for the exhibition “International Artists Encounter” was published by Hirmer Verlag (German title: "Raum - Licht - Maß. Skulptur auf neuen Wegen zur Transzendenz").
