Ardan Özmenoğlu, born 1979 in Ankara, is a contemporary artist and academic known for her innovative use of printmaking and sculpture. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts MFA in Art, Design, and Architecture from Bilkent University, Ankara. Özmenoğlu has been an artist in residence at institutions such as Kala Art Institute (Berkeley), Ateliergemeinschaft Milchhof (Berlin), Frans Maserell Centrum (Belgium), Kulturkontakt Austria (Vienna), and Glasstress (Murano, Venice). Her 2024 exhibition “Oblici Ljubavi / Forms of Love” was shown at Gradski Muzej Krizevci in Croatia. Her work features site-specific installations combining screenprints on glass, neon tubes, lights, and post-it notes, forming three-dimensional, architectural shapes. Özmenoğlu’s art is part of major collections, including the Hort Collection (NYC), Frankfurt Airport Collection, Borusan Contemporary, and Istanbul Modern Museum.

The artist was awarded the residency fellowship at the Künstlerhaus Bamberg by Bavarian State Minister Markus Blume at the suggestion of Villa Concordia art fellowship board members Walter Storms, gallery owner, and Katharina Vossenkuhl, Director of the Götz Collection. She will work in Bamberg from mid-April 2025 to mid-March 2026.
