Born in Berlin in 1968, Patricia Klobusiczky studied literary translation in Düsseldorf and worked as an editor for Rowohlt for ten years. Since 2006, she has been working as a freelance moderator and translator from French and English of classical modern authors such as Jean Prévost and Henri-Pierre Roché, or of contemporary writers such as Marie Darrieussecq, Sophie Divry, Hélène Gestern, Catherine Mavrikakis, Valérie Zenatti and Ruth Zylberman. From 2017 to 2021, she was the first chairperson of the Association of German Translators (VdÜ) and remains committed to the interests of her profession and the book industry, whether as a mentor, lecturer, juror or speaker of the German Literature Conference.
Patricia Klobusiczky is a guest at the Künstlerhaus in the second half of the fellowship 2022/23.
