Nina Deuse, born 1990, studied Integrative Composition (instrumental composition, composition, electronic composition, pop composition, composition and visualisation) with Günter Steinke at the ICEM, Folkwang UdK Essen. Further composition lessons with Edgar Mann, Philipp Vandré, Moritz Eggert and Jan Kopp. She is currently studying composition (master's programme) with Gordon Kampe at HfMT Hamburg.

She received the Federal Prize for Composition 2013, a teaching scholarship and took part in composition seminars and workshops. Nina Deuse founded Rent-A-Composer in 2022, a format for collaborative projects in contemporary music. One focus of her artistic work is the multifaceted fusion of contemporary composition and of contemporary composition and playing techniques with elements of popular music of the most diverse genres. She will live at the Künstlerhaus for 11 months.
