Sophie von Arnim, born in Munich in 1975, studied stage design at the Weißensee Art Academy in Berlin an the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. She worked in productions at various theatres in Munich, Frankfurt, Bochum, Karlsruhe and Amsterdam. since 2008 she as been working closely withe the composer Saskia Bladt in the research of tet and material properties in relation to sound and optics and the creation of sound objects and installations, with performance, etc. at: Theater der Künste and Camille Festival, Zurich - Villa Massimo, Rome - Teatro Torlonia, Rome - Goethehaus, Frankfurt - Gropius-Bau, Berlin - Bavarian State Opera, Munich - Lucerne Festival, Lucerne - Biennale, Munich - Eclat Festival, Stuttgart. Various group exhibitions in Munich. She received the Danner Prize twice for individual exhibits. Furthermore, since 2015 she has been working with director Clara Zoe My-Linh von arnim as outfitter and art director in various film productions (including for Arte, rbb).
